PVC Sheet Pile RFQ Checklist: How to Specify Profile, Length, Quantity and Accessories
A PVC sheet pile quotation is only as accurate as the information behind it. This checklist helps contractors, distributors and engineers give a supplier the right project details before pricing, sampling or production.

Why a PVC sheet pile RFQ needs more than wall height
A request such as “PVC sheet pile, 4 m wall” gives a supplier a starting point, but it does not identify the section that must be quoted, the sheet length, the total quantity or the accessories required to complete the wall. It also leaves out the soil, water and installation conditions that can affect whether the proposed solution is appropriate.
A clear RFQ does not replace project engineering. It gives the supplier enough information to quote the right product configuration, identify missing inputs early and avoid comparing options that are not equivalent.
Start with the project function
State what the wall needs to do before selecting a profile. A temporary trench shoring wall, a waterfront bulkhead and a drainage-channel lining can have very different loading, durability and installation requirements. Include the project location, the intended service life and whether the wall is temporary or permanent.

Specify the PVC sheet pile section and geometry
Do not select a section by profile letter alone. U-type and Z-type profiles are available in different dimensions and stiffness ranges. Ask the supplier to quote the named profile or provide the required section properties and project geometry so that the quotation can be checked against the design.
Profile name, drawing or cross-section image
Required sheet length and exposed wall height
Estimated embedment depth, if known
Total wall length or total square metres
Required quantity in pieces, bundles or linear metres
Colour, UV-stabilisation or surface-finish requirement, if applicable
If the length has not been finalized, provide the exposed height, available installation depth and soil information instead of guessing. A supplier can then identify what needs engineering confirmation before a final order is placed.
Include water, soil and installation information
PVC sheet pile performs differently depending on ground conditions and water pressure. The most useful RFQs include a site sketch or section drawing that shows finished grade, water level, backfill, nearby structures and any surcharge such as traffic, equipment or stored materials.

List the accessories and completion details
A sheet pile wall normally requires more than straight sheets. Corner sections, capping, connectors, seals and packaging details can materially change the quotation and lead time. List every known accessory in the first RFQ; mark any outstanding item as “to be confirmed” rather than leaving it out.
Inside and outside corner sections, including angle and quantity
Closure or transition sections for the final connection
Caps, walers, anchors, tie rods or other support components when within supply scope
Interlock sealant or water-swellable strip when seepage control is required
Cut lengths, fabrication, labelling and packing requirements
Ask for the documents that support your comparison
When comparing quotations, request the same information from every supplier. The lowest price is not meaningful if products differ in section geometry, length, material formulation, accessories, packing or delivery terms.

Material and UV-stability information relevant to the intended exposure
Packing list and container-loading proposal
Manufacturing lead time, quotation validity and delivery terms
Available inspection, test or quality documents for the quoted product

Five mistakes that delay PVC sheet pile pricing
Quoting only the exposed wall height and not the required sheet length or preliminary embedment.
Using “U-type” or “Z-type” without a profile drawing or required section properties.
Omitting corners, closure pieces and interlock-sealing requirements.
Leaving out soil, water level and installation constraints.
Comparing prices without confirming that quantity units, packing and delivery terms match.
